B0340WST2H2R-V7 FAQ

The data detected is not accurate.

The temperature readings are not accurate, but within an acceptable margin of error.
Reason: Both our main unit and sensor have a temperature deviation of 1 Celsius degree. Therefore, if the main unit and sensor are placed together, the temperature difference between them will be within 2 Celsius degrees, which is considered normal.
Explain to the client that every device has a certain level of measurement deviation, and our deviation falls within the industry standard. We are also committed to continuously seeking more cost-effective and accurate temperature sensing modules.

The temperature readings are not accurate and fall outside the acceptable margin of error.

Reason:
1.The temperature sensing module is broken;
2.The sensor is placed under direct sunlight or other heat sources;
3.Water in the temperature sensing module;
4.The main unit connected to other sensors(maybe the sensor close to the house or from the neighbor).

Troubleshooting Steps:
First, confirm the location of the sensor and explain to the client that the sensor cannot be exposed to direct sunlight or rain because the temperature will be higher of the sensor under direct sunlight.
Second, confirm with the client where did he/she get the real temperature, from the weather forecast in the professional local weather forecast service or other devices. If the weather forecast is obtained from other devices, then there is certain deviation of the temperature data as well.
Finally, ask the client to place the main unit and the sensor together, and change the set channel. Leave it for over an hour to see if the temperature changes to normal level.
If the client has tried the above steps and the temperature still have a relatively large deviation from the real temperature, then replace a new sensor to the client.

The temperature readings do not change.

Reason: The temperature sensing module got stuck.   Troubleshooting Steps: Use a hairdryer to dry the sensor and see if the temperature readings change. Remove all the power supply of the weather station and leave it for 30 minutes before powering it on again. And see if the temperature readings change. If the above troubleshooting steps do not solve the problem, then replace the sensor for the client.

The moisture readings are not accurate, but within an acceptable margin of error.

Reason: The moisture deviation of our weather station is 5%. Therefore, if the main unit and sensor are placed together, a difference in moisture within a range of 10% is considered normal. Explain to client, if he/she cannot accept it, then we can provide a refund.

The moisture readings are not accurate and fall outside the acceptable margin of error.

Reason:

1.The moisture module is broken;

2.The environment where the sensor is placed is too humid or close to heat sources;

3.Water in moisture module.

Troubleshooting Steps: Please confirm the environment where the sensor is placed. Make sure it is not exposed to rain or heat sources. If the sensor is placed in an uncovered open area with high humidity, or if it has rained, which may lead to the inaccurate moisture readings and damage the sensor. If the humidity is too high, ask client to dry it with a hairdryer and then power it on for using. If the above troubleshooting steps do not solve the problem, then replace the sensor for the client.

The weather forecast is not accurate.

Reason: Please note that our weather forecasts are based on the moisture and temperature changes with an accuracy of approximately 70% and cannot be compared with weather forecasts obtained from satellites. Moreover, since the model of this set is wireless, the weather station needs some time to learn about the temperature and moisture changes so that it can calculate the weather forecast better.

Ask the client about how long he/she has been using this weather station. If it’s newly purchased, then advise the client to give it one month to learn about the temperature and moisture changes. If it’s been used for a long time, then ask the client if he/she can accept an upgraded set of model 359. Model 359 weather station calculates the weather forecasts based on the barometric value so it can be more accurate. If the client insists that the weather forecasts be 100% accurate, then we can provide an upgrade model of 388 to the client or a refund.

Weather stations without detecting Barometric values:

*When the temperature is lower than 15℃: When the moisture is less than or equals to 40%, it will display sunny; When the moisture lies between 41%-65%, it will display partly sunny; When the moisture lies between 66%-71%, it will display cloudy; When the moisture is more than or equals to 72%, it will display rainy;

*When the temperature lies between 15℃-24.9℃: When the moisture is less than 55%, it will display sunny; When the moisture lies between 55%-70%, it will display partly sunny; When the moisture lies between 71%-79%, it will display cloudy; When the moisture is more than or equals to 80%, it will display rainy;

*When the temperature is more than or equals to 25℃: When the moisture is less than or equals to 60%, it will display sunny; When the moisture lies between 61%-75%, it will display partly sunny; When the moisture lies between 76%-85%, it will display partly cloudy; When the moisture is more than or equals to 86%, it will display rainy;

Time and date inaccurate.

Time and date inaccurate.

a.341-1 & 341-2(without RCC function)

Reason:

1.The client thought he/she purchased the model with RCC function and it could adjust the time and date automatically;

2.The client doesn’t know how to set the time and date. Troubleshooting Steps: For this kind of problem, ask the order number first to confirm the model of the weather station. If the client purchased the model without RCC function, then he/she has to set the time and date manually.

Correct steps to set the time and date:

1.Press and hold “SET” button for 3-4 seconds to start time setting.(All of our weather station models set the time by pressing the SET button.)

2.After holding the SET button for 3-4 seconds, the 12 or 24 hour format display begins to flash. Press “▲” or “▼” button to select the 12 or 24 hour mode. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter hour setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter minute setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter year setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter MD/DM format setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to select MD or DM format. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter month setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value. Press “SET” button to confirm and enter date setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value.

3.Quickly press the “SET” button until you get back to the home page. NOTE: After pressing the “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the value, press the “SET” button will confirm the value we choose and enter to the next setting.

b.341-3 & 341-4(with RCC function)

Reason:

1.The RCC function is not turned on;

2.The time zone was not set correctly;

3.The client’s address is far from America or Germany so they cannot receive the radio signal;

4.The RCC module is broken and cannot receive the radio signal.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Check the order number and product model first, and then check the country and city of the client. Because in Europe, the radio signals are only available in Germany, there is a possibility that customers living far away from Germany may not receive the radio signals. If they do not live far away from Germany, then confirm with the client if the RCC function is on and the time zone is correctly set.

Correct steps to set the time and date:

1.Press and hold the “SET” button and the screen will display “ON” if the RCC function is turned on and if it displays “OFF” then the RCC function is not turned on. Please switch by pressing the “▲” or “▼” button.

2.Press the “SET” button and the screen will display “00”, which means the time zone(from -12H to +12H) of the city. Clients should set the correct zone according to the city he/she lives in, which would make the time more accurate. If the client is not clear about the time zone of the city he/she lives in, we can check for him/her based on the country or city he/she lives in. If the time zone is in America, we should confirm whether the DST is turned on. If it is turned on, the screen will display “DST ON”, if not, it will result in an hour deviation to the real time.

3. Press the “SET” button for multiple times to go back to home page.

4.Press and hold the “MEM” button to enter RCC receiving mode. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes to finish receiving the RCC radio signal. After the signal is received successfully, it will automatically exit the RCC receiving mode.

If the client has finished the above troubleshooting steps and set the RCC function correctly, but still cannot adjust to the correct time, we can offer a new replacement.

c.340-3 & 340-4(with touchable screen)

Reason:

1.The RCC function is not turned on;

2.The time zone was not set correctly;

3.The client’s address is far from America or Germany so they cannot receive the radio signal;

2.Please switch by pressing the “▲” or “▼” button. Press the “SET” button to enter time zone setting, and the screen will display “00”, which means the time zone(from -12 to 12) of the city. Clients should set the correct zone according to the city he/she lives in, which would make the time more accurate. If the client is not clear about the time zone of the city he/she lives in, we can check for him/her based on the country or city he/she lives in.

3.Quickly press the “SET” button until you get back to the home page.

4.Press and hold the “RCC” button to enter RCC receiving mode. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes to finish receiving the RCC radio signal. After the signal is received successfully, it will automatically exit the RCC receiving mode.

If the time zone is in America, we should confirm whether the DST is turned on. If it is turned on, the screen will display “DST ON”, if not, it will result in an hour deviation to the real time.   If the client has finished the above troubleshooting steps and set the RCC function correctly, but still cannot adjust to the correct time, we can offer a new replacement.

Low screen brightness.

Reason: The models 340/341 feature a black and white screen with an automatic backlight-off function. To check the display, clients need to manually press the "Backlight" button located at the top of the device. Since the 341/340 models are battery powered, this design is also for power saving. Troubleshooting Steps: Explain to clients how to light the screen. If the “Backlight” button fails, we can provide a new replacement.

The screen has a limited viewing angle.

Reason: The screens of the 340/341/359 models can only be viewed properly when directly facing them. If the customer installs them in a high position on a wall, it may result in unclear visibility, even if the screen is illuminated. Troubleshooting Steps: Apologize to clients. Explain to them that we already have plans to upgrade the models to new versions by using better materials. And inform them that all of our WiFi weather stations have good visibility from 0-360 degree angles. Advise clients to install the weather station in a place with their line of sight as much as possible. This will make it convenient for customers to easily illuminate the screen for viewing whenever necessary.

The screen keeps restarting and making a “BI” sound.

Reason:

1.The battery compartment is corroded, causing poor contact;

2.The RCC button is stuck, resulting in continuous forced reception of sensor signals;

3.The device is damaged.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Please check if the battery compartment is corroded and the battery is with enough power. If there is no problem, try holding the “CH” button to see if the screen returns to normal. If not, we will provide a new replacement to you.

The screen only shows brightness without any display./The screen briefly displays and then flashes back.

Reason: The device is damaged. Troubleshooting Steps: Please provide us some pictures or a video for us to check the problem. And then we will offer a new replacement to you.

The removable stand of Model 340 is missing.

Reason: The removable stand is placed in the battery compartment. Clients didn’t discover it because he/she didn’t open the battery compartment. Tell clients the stand is placed in the battery compartment, ask them to open the battery compartment and take it out for using.

Can your weather station be connected with multiple sensors?

All of our non-WiFi weather stations can be connected with three sensors. And the models 340/341 can connect to two additional sensors, in addition to the one that is included. But if you want to view the data of the other two channels, you have to manually switch the channel displayed on screen or set to the circular channels mode, which will display the data of the three channels circularly.

Can your sensors and weather stations be compatible with those of other brands?

Our products’ signals receiving channel is 433mhz. We cannot ensure that our products can be compatible with those of other brands, so please purchase carefully.

The products are damaged./Accessories are missing.

Please provide us your Amazon order number and the picture of products you received for us to check. If something is indeed broken or missing, we will provide a new replacement.

The screen cannot be operated for several minutes every other hour in a certain period of hours for each day.(models 341/340, with RCC function)

Reason:

The device will automatically receive RCC signals every day. During the receiving time, the device cannot be operated unless manually exit the RCC receiving mode. The signal receiving time in Europe are at 1 am, 2 am, 3 am, 4 am and 5 am every day and the time in America are at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 10 am and 11 am every day.
