After plugged in, the screen will go dim/dark while in WWVB/DCF/MSF atomic receiving mode. Meanwhile, all buttons are not functional. Our clock searches for WWVB signals at initial setup & several times a day; each lasts up to 7 minutes with the antenna symbol flashing on the screen. After the searching completes, the backlight brightness will come back on, and all functionalities will resume. You may press & hold the "RCC" button to exit RCC receiving mode anytime.

FAQ
How is the viewing angle on this unit - especially the vertical angle when looking up at it? (many others look almost blank when viewed from below)
This is best suited for desk top and/or eye level viewing. The display will disappear if viewed from to great of an angle.
