When plugged in will the unit stay lit all the time?
Yes, it has 3 brightness levels to adjust. Please note that while it is in WWVB receiving status, the backlit will go dark to 3% for up to 7 minutes.
This is normal. Once complete, it will go back to the default setting of 100% or 50% brightness.
Can the sensors be placed inside a refrigerator or a freezer?
They may work in a refrigerator, but that would depend on the amount of metal and location of the base unit. The freeze will not work.
My base unit and outdoor sensor are on opposite sides of the same wall and I lose the signal during the winter as temperatures fall (Iowa).
How do you convert celcius to fahrenheit??
On the right side on the unit, press the fourth button from the top labeled " 'up arrowhead'/RCC".
