The weather station can be placed either on table standing by the stand bracket or wall hanging by hanging hole in the back. Three touch screen buttons allow you to setup the display and quickly check Max/Min/current temperature and humidity. Ambient icons remind you the humidity changes by More Wet or No Change or Dry. Comfort level indicator is helpful for easy monitoring. For your convenience, time also displays in addition to temperature and humidity data.

Does "self calibrating time" mean that it is set by atomic clock (eg. Naval Observatory)?
The time in this item is set manually without atomic time.
how close does the outside sensor have to be?
Normally in open area, the wireless transmitter can cover 100 meters (109 yards).
Can I hard wire for 12v?
This item can only be powered by batteries. An the sensor included shall be used wirelessly as it is.
